In this tutorial, we will learn to create a header for an imaginary dating related website.

Create a new file of header size. Select ‘Heart’ auto shape from the list of autoshapes. Choose red color as foreground and draw the heart as shown in the figure.

Apply these layer styles :-

Press control+J to duplicate the layer and move it as shown :-

Group & merge these two layers. Press control+j to duplicate the layer. Move it 4-5 pixle upwards and change the blending mode to ‘Multiply’.

Press control+j to duplicate the layer and move it upwards as shown in the figure.

Change the opacity to 30%.

Again press control+j and move the layer at the top.

At the top of the canvas, draw a 1 pixel wide black color line with line tool.

Duplicate and move the lines as shown in the figure.

Group and merge the lines. After merging, change the opacity to 40%.

Draw this shape with Rectangle tool.

Apply same layer style (inner shadow and satin) as we applied to the first heart layer.

Press control+J to duplicate the layer. DONT FORGET TO RASTERIZE THE LAYER. Select Rectangular Marquee tool and draw 2 pixel wide selection and press delete.
