Cherry Buttons in Photoshop

In this tutorial we will create an attractive cherry button web graphic in Photoshop.

Start with a large black canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set and name it Cherry Flavor Tab. Now choose your rounded rectangle tool with a 10 px radius, in a new layer draw a 166 x 34 pixels, #91001F colored rounded rectangle.

Step two:

With your step one layer add the following layer styles:

Step three:

Create a new layer and draw a 158 x 26 pixels, black rounded rectangle on the middle of the current tab design.

Step four:

With your step three layer, set the blending mode to lighten and add the following layer styles:


Step five:

Choose your text tool and select font Britannic Bold from the font list. Set the size to 18 pt, regular, crisp and white for color. In a new text layer type the title of your navigation tab.

Step six:

With your step three layer add the following layer styles:
